One important requirement is to have the right mindset. You need to have or have to develop the mindset of a winner, just like an Olympic athlete and never give up. I have just watched the Marathon and the silver medallist on his medal, because he kept his mind focused on the task in hand, many times during the race he began to lose contact with the leading group and each time worked his way back eventually finishing ahead of other athletes who at the start had looked better  medal prospects.

This is the reason a large number of people die shortly after retiring.
